Get to know more about Ukrainian traditions and culture during our arts workshop! You’re going to explore two different crafts known to all Ukrainians - Мотанка (motanka) doll making and Петриківський декоративний розпис (petrykivka decorative painting).

Motanka Doll Making – make your own motanka, a traditional Ukrainian handmade doll symbolizing protection, family, and good fortune. You’ll be provided with different materials, will learn wrapping techniques, and the cultural meanings behind this ancient talisman.

Petrykivka Decorative Painting – discover the vibrant art style of Petrykivka, recognized by UNESCO as part of the world’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. Using hand-made brushes from cat fur and your own fingers, you’ll learn characteristic patterns, brushstrokes, and color combinations to create your own artwork.

All materials will be provided, as well as snacks from Ukraine!
