English version: From Abu Dhabi to Norway: The artist Phoebe Jaspé settles in at Tvibit

Phoebe Jaspé, an artist with a master's degree in Fine Art from the Academy of Fine Arts at UiT, the Arctic University of Norway, has undergone a remarkable journey from Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, to Norway. Born and raised near Dubai, Phoebe has explored the world and drawn inspiration from various cultures and environments.

She has become a familiar face here at Tvibit. Since late autumn 2023, Phoebe has had an office space at our Creative Technology department, where she works on her projects. She has been residing in Tromsø since 2020.

From the Middle East to Europe

Phoebe describes her upbringing in Abu Dhabi as a time characterized by diversity and internationality. She attended international schools and gained a thorough understanding of various cultures and perspectives. After spending decades in the Middle East, Phoebe took the bold step of studying film and media in the United Kingdom.

After completing her studies, Phoebe returned to Dubai, where she found a job in the advertising industry. She describes this period as both challenging and rewarding, and it

was here that she truly began to explore her artistic potential. Through working on various advertising projects, Phoebe gained valuable experience in visual communication and storytelling.

"My approach to art is always to explore new horizons and experiment with different media. Through my projects, I seek to create something both challenging and meaningful, and I am constantly looking for new ways to express myself through art."

Opportunities in the Nordic Paris and the USA

However, Phoebe's life took a new turn when she decided to explore new horizons. After exploring both Iceland and London, she eventually found her home in Norway. Here, she has delved into a range of artistic projects, from film editing to video game development.

Today, Phoebe is an active participant in the Norwegian art scene, and her work is known for being innovative and exploratory. She is particularly interested in exploring the interface between technology and art, and her projects often explore themes such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality. Therefore, it's incredibly cool that she's here at the house collaborating with our talented folks at Creative Technology.

"My journey has been characterized by diversity and exploration, and I continue to challenge the boundaries of what art can be," she says.

Phoebe's diverse approach to art has made her a sought-after voice in the Norwegian art community, and her work has been showcased at numerous exhibitions and festivals across the country.

At the end of 2022, she has also been granted a 10 year B1/B2 business opportunity to attend scientific, educational, professional, or business conventions or conferences in the USA.
