TWIN CITY STORIES

Creative writing workshop

for youth in Tromsø in solidarity with Gaza

Open call for Youth in Tromsø

Stand in solidarity with the youth of Gaza through the power of writing!

Have you ever written something without knowing what it is or what it will become? Perhaps it's a post you never shared, a poem, a letter, a reader's comment, or a short story.

Over the last 11 months, we have been closely following the extremely challenging situation faced by our friends in Gaza. For many of us, it has been a difficult position: Witnessing the war unfolding while we watch from a safe distance. During this period, some may have turned to writing as a means of self-expression or to convey their emotions.

In solidarity with Gaza, we welcome you to TWIN CITY STORIES, a creative writing workshop that binds young people from Tromsø to the situation in Gaza through the art of writing.

As Gaza's twin city, we share stories and forge cross-cultural ties as a symbol of unity, support, and solidarity. Join us in standing in solidarity with the youth of Gaza through the power of writing, and make your mark on the world we live in with stories of strength and resilience.

In the workshop, we can both work with texts you already have, that you can bring and want help to develop further or work on writing short stories that capture important moments from your lives or thoughts and reflections during this period.
